“Wandering a New Path” is a series of mini original oil paintings, completed in the studio using reference sketches and photos from a seriously scenic early morning hike in the North Downs, Surrey, June 2024.
These paintings are a reminder of a new path my hiker pals and I discovered earlier this summer in the North Downs, Surrey. The memories of the warm sunshine are portrayed in these little works, through joyful, earthy tones. The pops of lilac and ochre mirror the conversations of hope and gratitude we had along the way. Gestural brushstrokes and generous bright blue skies tell a story of the scenery’s expanse, the air and its constant motion. An unexpectedly beautiful trail, one for the canvas, one to go back to soon again…
8x8cm, framed in a brass/glass standing frame. Signed by the artist, complete with Certificate of Authenticity, all in a cotton dust bag.
