Hello, I'm Fuz
I love playing with paint and colour. Give me a palette and some squishy paints and I'll be in my happy place. I've been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember and usually have a teeny sketchbook and pencil tucked away in my bag wherever I go.
Right now, I'm very into landscapes. I live in Surrey and am lucky enough to have the countryside on my doorstep, so I regularly pull on my boots and get out there hiking! Having gone through a tough few years, I have found that spending time in nature has taught me so much about resiliency. I find it incredibly restorative, as well as inspiring. My last big hike was up through the clouds to the summit of Mount Snowdon and I'm so glad I had my camera with me! Capturing beautiful scenery on my travels, in sketches and photos, form the beginnings of much of my work.
I work mainly with my favourite mediums; oil paint, pastel and pencil, but I thoroughly enjoy experimenting with new materials too. If you don’t spot me in an art supplies shop filling my basket, you’ll probably find me making art in my home studio, reading a book in a local cafe or if you’ve been following me over on Instagram, you’ll know I’m slightly obsessed with gardening too. Each spring, I have a list of plants and a plan for the layout, but do I stick to it? Nope …but come summer, my garden is blooming madly in the happiest of hues!
Mostly, I cherish time hanging out with my family. Movies, snacks and board games with hubby and our little boy... and of course our adventures.
